Robo-Sangram 2026 (Robo-Sumo)

About This Event

The Robo Sangram event at Kathfest 3.0 is a premier competition designed to challenge and inspire students and robotics enthusiasts. Participants will design and build a manually controlled wireless robot capable of defeating an opponent by pushing, pinning, or immobilizing, without using harmful mechanisms. The event emphasizes innovation, engineering, teamwork, and fair play.

Rules & Eligibility

• Maximum Dimensions: 50 cm x 50 cm x 50 cm. Max weight: 5 kg.
• Power Limit: 24V (10A) DC max. Wireless control only.
• No blades, flames, projectiles, corrosives, or liquids allowed in the battle.
• All teams must report to the arena at least 30 minutes prior to their scheduled match.
• Robots must pass technical inspection before each match.
• No team member is allowed to enter the arena without the referee's permission.
• Each team is responsible for the maintenance and readiness of their robots throughout the competition.
• All robots must operate within the specified voltage limits (24V, 10A) at all times.
• Organizers reserve the right to disqualify any robot or team that is found violating safety regulations or exhibiting unsportsmanlike behavior.
• Any damage caused intentionally to the arena or equipment will result in disqualification and liability for repairs.
